The Mercer Cadet Corps Military
Science III class, most of whom are
juniors in the Liberal Arts College,
recently received their preliminary
inoculations in preparation for
Summer Camp.
Advance Course students arc re
quired to attend a six-week summer
camp between their junior and
senior year. The purpose of the
camp is to give each cadet practical
work in tactical situations with the
weapons and equipment studied in
the classroom.
This year’s camp will be con
ducted at Fort Bragg, North Caro
lina during June and July Other ac
tivities in preparation for summer
camp include the issue of one pair
of fatigue boots to break in before
camp, briefings on personal items
to take, and a second round of
shots.
