get Ua scoring machine
working, but once the problem
was solved, the Sigs had no
trouble in downing the upeet-
minded Lambda Chis. 26-13
•Rip” Mehroff. Kappa Sig s
southpaw quarterback, was the
engineer who repaired the Sigs
scoring machine. After hurling
three interceptions in the first
hail. Mehroff rethemed himself
m the second status by tossing
three TD. aerials to overcome
a 11*7 deficit. Credit must also
by glv$n to a stubborn Kappa
Sig defense which held lambda
Chi scoreless in the eecood half.
In all fairness, though,
nothing can be taken away from
the Lambda Chis' performance
-especially in the first half Two
early Kappa Sig drives were
stymied on two interceptions by

when it appeared that neiJier
team would be able to move the

But ATO came right back to
put the game in ice-box. Bennett
threw a 35-yard pass to
Caireker. on the kick-off, which
put the ball on the MIMA IS. A
pass to Payton moved the baU to
the ooe, and then Bennett threw
what looked like another touch
down pass to Carreker. But an
illegal screen call against
HoweU moved the ball back to
the 6. Two plays later, the
Atoms got the touchdown back,
though, on a 6-yard toss from
Bennett to Conner. Another
pass to Mervis made the score
14- 7.
MIMA tried to move the ball
after the kick-off, but Simpler
intercepted for the second time
in the ballgame, at the MIMA

ATO retained possession for
the rest of the baU game, as
Bennett moved the Atoms 45
yards in 10 plays for the touch
down ATO had to survive , two
penalties, but once they finaUy
got to the MIMA 34. MIMA
committed two major penalties
that set up a 3-yard pass from
Bennett to Payton The extra
pointtry was blocked by Bob
Bender, and the game ended at
40-13

with students interested in
after-graduation positions

AUanta December 28-29 during
Christmas vacation for the

The Rebels punted after
three plays, and. when the
Snakes couldn't move their
offense either, they also punted
But. on the punt. Foster at

11 yard run set up a 16 yard
touchdown toss from Bagley to

.After the Rebles failed to
move the ball, the Snakes took
