Celebration on Monday. Jan. 19,
beginning at noon. Church lead
ers also announce their second
annual "Youth Explosion” 2009
to celebrate and commemorate
the life Dr. King. This event is
scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18, at
4 p.m. at Holly Creek Baptist
Church, Comer.
“We are asking all youth lead
ers to help us make this an amaz
ing event by enlisting youth and
young adults within their respec
tive churches," leaders said.
There will be singing, dancing,
stepping solo and a contest on
three-minute speeches on “The
Dream.”
“Please come out and help us
and the young people lift up the
name of the Lord as we celebrate
Dr. King and the impact that he
made within our communities,”

•The Anchor Church of Ila,
will hold a Bible Study every
Tuesday night beginning Jan. 27,
from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The study
will be entitled "When Godly
Women Do UnGodly Things:
Arming Yourself in the Age of
Seduction," by Beth Moore. "It
is a study of why devoted fol
lowers of Christ fall into the
traps of Satan,” church leaders
said. The Bible study is open to
church members, anyone in the
community or anyone you know,
church leaders said. The mem
ber books are $12.95 each and
registration began Jan. 1. Money
will be due by Jan. 16. Anchor
Church is holding services in The
Little Country Church located in
Commerce, which is where the
study will take place, church lead

in concert at Mt. Zion Church
