Two cities will hold special elec tions Tuesday due to vacancies at their city council tables. Three candidates — Dennis Moon, Evelyn Patton Power and Ellyn Trinrud — are running for Jeff Roberts’ vacated seat on the Colbert City Council. Phillip Croya and Kathy Stamps are competing for Roger Watson's old seat on the Danielsville City Council. There would have been a third special election in the county Tuesday had anyone qualified for a race to fill Hull's vacant council seat. Paul Elkins left his council post in September for a successful bid for mayor. His council seat has been open ever since. Hull will hold a special elec tion in June if multiple candidates qualify. Here are the candidates for Tuesday’s elections: Phillip Croya: Danielsville City Council candidate •Occupation: Assistant trans portation director for Madison County Schools •Residence: has lived in the city limits of Danielsville for six years. He currently resides at 31 Northridge Court. •Reason for running: “I just care about the business of the city. I’m a taxpayer and I want to see my money taken care of ... I’m a people person. I love to meet new people. Ellyn TVinrud: Colbert City Council candidate •Occupation: Design consul tant/event coordinator •Residence: Has lived in the city limits of Colbert for 10 years.
