VBS kickoff and regis tration will be Sunday, June 7, from 4-7 p.m. Commencement will be on Friday night. “Please come and join in the fun,” church leaders said. •The Tri-County Ministerial Association will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, June 6, at 8 a.m. in the BJC Medical Center conference room. All minis ters, laypersons and mission aries from Banks, Jackson and Madison Counties are invited to attend, organizers said. •Freedom C.H. Church will hold homecoming services Sunday, June 7, beginning at 10 a.m. Featured singers will be The Gospel Tones, from Toccoa and the speaker will be Tim Griffin, also from Toccoa. Lunch will be served after the morning service, church lead ers said. The pastor is Eugene Pritchett. The church is located on Freedom Church Road near Royston. •Erastus Christian Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 14-19, 6:15-9 p.m. for ages third to sixth grade. The Randy Merrill Family Evangelistic team will head up the VBS with “Catastrophe Kitchen” and is looking for young “chefs” ages 3-17 to come cook with them. “The whole family will be blessed by the talents of this family,” church leaders said. The theme this year is SonRock Kids Camp. “VBS campers will build bonds of friendship with each other and with caring counselors as they discover that their true identi ties are not formed by where they go, what they can do or what others think,” organizers said. “They will explore who they are in Jesus Christ — the most important relation ship of all. Colbert First Baptist holds Family Fun Day Colbert First Baptist Church held its annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 30 in preparation for its Vacation Bible School, which ran May 31 to June 3. More than 70 children were pre-registered for Vacation Bible School at Family Fun Day as children enjoyed pony rides, inflatables, a dunking booth, games and refreshments.
