VBS will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. each morning for ages 4 years through fifth grade. Also featured will be the Southern Travelers, of Carlton, along with other local singers. This is a free concert, organizers said, but a love offering will be taken for the featured group. The church is located three miles south of Danielsville, just off Hwy. 29 on the Cleghorne Road. “Come one out for a good time in the name of Jesus Christ,” church leaders said. •Bethel M. Baptist Church, Hwy. 281, will have homecoming services Sunday, July 19 at 11 a.m. with special singing and a meal following the service. Revival services will be held July 20-24, at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The speaker for Monday and Tuesday will be Kelby Maxwell, the speaker for Wednesday will be Glendon Williams and the speaker for Thursday and Friday will be Terry Hagwood. •Waggoners Grove Baptist Church will hold its 11 th annual Appreciation Celebration July 19 at 4 p.m. This is a celebration of pastor Roy L. Thomas Sr. and first lady Jacqueline Thomas. “Please come and join the Waggoners Grove Family as we celebrate 11 years of service from our pastor, the Rev. Roy L. Thomas Sr.,” organizers said. R.L. White of the Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church in Atlanta is the guest pastor for the event. The church also plans revival services July 13-15 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest rever ends are Jerry Alexander of Springfield Baptist Church in Athens (July 13), Radford Thomas of Arnold Grove Baptist Church (July 14) and Harvey Peek of Rose Hill Baptist Church (July 15). •Holly Springs Baptist Church, Bowman, announces the following upcoming events: there will be a Pastor’s Anniversary Program on July 12. The program will begin prompt ly at 3 p.m. with refresh ments to follow the ser vice, church leaders said. The Rev. Marlon Knox of Crossroads Baptist Church will be our guest speaker for this program.
