•Bethel M Baptist Church
will have a special singing on
Saturday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m.
featuring the group Grace and
Mercy. The church is located
on Wildcat Bridge Road north
of Danielsville.
•Hannah’s Creek Baptist
Church will hold a “grave dec
oration day” on Sunday, Oct.
4, beginning at 10 a.m. There
will be a covered dish meal, a
time to reminisce and special
singing. Church members say
they would like to especially
invite family members of those
buried in the church cemetery,
but all are invited to share this
special service. Ice and tea will
be provided by the church for
the midday meal.
Hannah’s Creek Church is
located on Hannah’s Creek
Church Road off Wildcat
Bridge Road in northern
Madison County.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, new
flowers will be placed on
graves that don’t have family
members to perform this ser
vice, church leaders said.

•New Hope Worship Center
will have homecoming services
on Sunday, Sept. 13, beginning
at 10 a.m. with a special singing
featuring Tennessee Harmony.
Former church pastor Jonathan
Randall will be the speaker at
the 11 a.m. worship service. A
covered dish lunch will follow
in the fellowship hall. All are
invited, church leaders said.
New Hope Worship Center is
located 8 miles from Royston
and Danielsville on Hwy. 29.

their concert schedule for

•Jones Chapel UMC will
sponsor “Parent Talk” on
Thursday, Sept. 17, from
6:30 to 8 p.m. in the church’s
sanctuary. The talk will be
presented by a health educa
tor from the Madison County
Health Department. The
Parent Talk program helps
parents become the com
munity’s primary source of
teen health education, offi
cials said. Research shows
the comprehensive solution
to teen pregnancy requires
parental involvement, qual
ity health care, education and
faith/community youth devel
opment activities. Parent Talk
is a program that has been cre
ated by the Madison County
Teen Pregnancy Coalition.
“Many parents are con
cerned, but may feel more
confident if they are aware or
are reminded of the impor
tant health facts in order to
better educate their children,”
officials said. “The Birds and
Bees presentation provides
the parents with pertinent
information needed to do just
that - educate their children
in the facts of health issues.”

or the Madison County Health
Department.
A light supper will be avail
able, organizers said.

•Erastus Christian Church
will hold a yard sale and bake
sale on Saturday, Sept. 12,
from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Biscuits
and other baked goods will be
available. The church is locat
ed at 2050 Neese Commerce
Road.
•Erastus Christian Church
will have a chicken barbecue
on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5
to 7 p.m. take out only. Plates
are $7 each. Church leaders
say all proceeds will go toward
their new building. The church

•Mt. Zion Church will have
its fourth annual Women’s
Conference on Monday, Oct.
26, beginning at 7 p.m. The
featured speaker will be Karen

early since seating is limited.
Pre-registration is $10 per per
son, or $15 at the door. There is
one free registration for groups
of ten or more, church leaders
said and each registrant will
receive a gift bag.
There will be drawings for
various door prizes (you must
be present to win).

ning and at 7 p.m. Monday
through Wednesday. The
