Man faces multiple charges after Madison Co. man killed
allegedly holding woman against her will in motorcycle accident
A Danielsville man
was aixested last week on
a laundry list of charges
after a Dahlonega couple
came to the sheriff’s office
to report that their daugh
ter was being held at his
Madison County home
against her will.
Marty Nolan Wilson, 50,
2053 Jones Chapel Shiloh
Road, was charged with
four counts of possession
of a firearm or knife while
trying to commit crimes,
four counts of possession
of arms by a convicted
felon and first offender
probation, possession of
marijuana with intent to
distribute, manufacturing
marijuana, possession of a
sawed-off shotgun, posses
sion of tools for the com
mission of a crime and bat
tery FVA.
According to the inci
dent report, the couple told
Deputy Mark Jerome that
their daughter lives with
Wilson, who they stated
has abused her in the past.
Someone at a local store
gave them a note which
they said their daughter had
passed them, which stated
that Wilson had beaten
her and that she needed
money so she could leave
him. The note also stated
that “they better not call
the sheriff’s office or have
the sheriff’s office send a
deputy out there because
she feared for her life” and
that Wilson has put a “gun
to her head” in the past.
Deputy Jerome, along
with Investigator Donald
Carr, then went to the resi
dence where they found
Wilson, who appeared ner
vous and was visibly shak
ing. Wilson told them the
woman they were looking
for was in the back bed
room of the house. The
officers found the woman
“in a very emotional state.”
She reportedly told them
that Wilson has said he
would kill her and made
threats against her family.
A search of the residence
produced marijuana, rifles,
handguns and ammunition.
Five marijuana plants were
also found growing out
side.
In another arrest, Rodney
Antwon David, 33, of 5404
Hwy. 191, Comer, was
charged with battery and
three counts of cruelty to
children after deputies were
summoned to his home in
reference to domestic situ
ation that was reportedly
called in by a child.
When deputy Michael
Moore arrived at the scene,
he saw a female and three
children sitting on the front
porch. The children were
scared and crying, saying
they had seen David hitting
the woman on the head and
face.
The woman stated that
David, who is her hus
band, had hit her a number
of times and locked her
and the children out of the
house.
At one point, David
reportedly had her pinned
on the ground and wouldn’t
let her up, and the children
brought her a stick so she
could defend herself.
David, who was inside
the house, was arrested
and taken to the Madison

Crime and court policy
It is the policy of this newspaper to print the names of
all persons arrested and booked through the Madison
County Jail. No exceptions are made to that policy.
This newspaper also routinely publishes the names of
those involved in criminal court cases as those actions
make their way through the judicial system, including
the final disposition of the case when it is known.
We caution our readers, however, that an arrest is
not a conviction and an individual is presumed innocent
under the law until convicted of a crime for which he
has been charged.
In addition to arrest reports, we also routinely publish
items from incident reports filed with local law enforce
ment agencies. Most of the time, the names of those
involved are not published unless one party has been
officially charged with a crime.
