Lakey as special guest. The day began with Sunday School at 9 a.m., followed by a video of the church’s history shown by Richard D. Mayfield. The pinnacle of the celebration began with the 11 a.m. worship service. The Master of Ceremony was Rev. Kenneth McWhorter, pas tor of the St. Paul CME Church Athens. The acolytes were Jessika Smith and Ebony Quiller. Tabor pastor Rev. James B. Singleton gave the call to worship and invoca tion. The welcome was provided by Lunita Mayfield. Conolus Scott Jr. provided the church history. Terry Wilhite gave the responsive reading. Janie Curry read the scripture. And music was rendered by Hosley CME Church from Statesville N.C. The lineage of Hosley CME Church originated from Tabor’s Chapel CME Church.
