Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
through powerful praise and
worship,” church leaders said.

night of remembrance and
celebration," church lead

loved ones are buried in the
Meadow Cemetery, along
with the Meadow Baptist
Church family, are plan
ning a ‘Night of Light’ on
Sunday, Dec. 20, from 7 -
8:30 p.m. Luminaries will
be set out at every grave in
the Meadow Cemetery and
along the driveways." “Just
before 7 p.m., these luminar
ies will be lit, providing a
beautiful scene that honors
the memory of those lives
that shone so brightly in our
presence,” leaders said. “As
we celebrate the lives of
those who were special to us,
we also will be focusing on
the Christmas season.” Tents
will be set up in the field in
front of the cemetery, with
live music and warm refresh
ments. At 8 p.m. there will
be a time of remembrance,
followed by a closing prayer
of thanksgiving for the bless
ing of family, leaders said.

•Community Baptist
Church will have their sev
enth annual New Year’s Eve
singing on Thursday, Dec.
31, from 8 p.m. - midnight.
Southern Gospel groups to
perform during the evening
will include “The Roy Knight
Singers” and “Georgia.”
There will be a soup and
salad intermission, with the
church family participating
in an annual soup cook-off.
“All are invited to come and
join in for a great evening of
worship as we bring in the
New Year,” church leaders

much needed holiday cheer.”
