Mt. Zion Church, in Royston, will have The Goodwins,
from Greenville, SC, in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, April
28. Mt. Zion is located directly behind the depot in down
town Royston on 250 Tony Jones Street. Admission is
free, however a love offering will be received, church
officials said, and everyone is welcome to attend. For

•Hull Baptist Church will have
a huge indoor yard sale on Saturday,
April 14,8 a.m. to noon. The church

•The Madison County
Ministerial Association would like
to invite the Madison County High
School Class of 2012 to attend
a Baccalaureate Service and ban
quet in their honor Monday, April
23, at Union Baptist Church in
Hull. The banquet will begin at 6
p.m. followed by the Baccalaureate

•Gordon’s Chapel United
Methodist Church, Hull, in part
nership with the NE Georgia Food
Bank, will have its monthly food
giveaway Friday, April 20 from 9 to
11 a.m. at the Sanford Community
Center, Nowhere Road, Hull. Food
will be given on a first-come, first-
serve basis, according to church
officials.

Hwy. 106, four miles south of Da,
wifi have CS&K (Christ, Savior
and King) in concert Sunday, May
6, at 6 p.m. "There is no charge for
the concert, but a love offering will

•The Ila Men’s Fellowship wifi
meet Sunday April 15, at 8 a.m. at
the Da restaurant in Da for breakfast

church in Fexington. The Da Men's
FeUowship is non-denominational,
and meets eveiy third Sunday of
the month at the restaurant. AD men

•Danielsville Evangelical
Church, Hwy. 174, in the Shiloh
Community, wiD have a hobo sup
per and auction Saturday, April 14,
5:30 to 7 p.m. Organizers say the
auction begins at 6:15 p.m. and a
meal ticket give access to it. The
menu includes, but not limited to:
coUard greens, pinto beans, pork
loin, chicken dumplings, stewed
tomatoes, cole slaw, cracklin’ corn-
bread, com muffins, com sticks,
banana pudding and chocolate
cake.
Proceeds go to the family life
center building fund, according to
organizers. Tickets are $7 each.

Shelter has low-cost spay/neuter clinic

Shelter officials say it is “puppy
and kitten mania” at the shelter
right now.
“We are seeing a lot of animal
surrenders,” officials said. They
would like to take this time to
remind residents that MOAS has
a low cost spay/neuter clinic that is
open to fire public and can help to
greafly reduce the pet overpopula
tion. Tire prices are as fofiows: feral
cat neuter/ear tipping, $30; feral
cat spay/ear tipping, $45; cat neu
ter, $35; cat spay, $55; dog neuter
(over 25 pounds), $60; dog neuter
(up to 25 pounds), $50; dog spay
(100 pounds and up), $80 and dog
spay (up to 25 pounds), $70.
Traps for feral cats are avafiable
for rent for a $25 (fuUy refund
able) deposit and a $5 fee. A rental
agreement is required.
Spay/neuter gift certificates are
also avafiable. "Please help us stem
the tide of pet overpopulation in
our area and beyond - it saves
lives,” they said.

The Eloise McCurley - Madison County Senior Center has announced
its lunch menu and planned activities for Monday, April 16, through Friday,
April 20.
Monday - Breaded fish filet, slaw, beans, yellow com, whole grain bread,
tarter sauce and a pear cup.

Tuesday - Sliced meatloaf with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, tomatoes
and okra, whole grain bread and a peach cup.
