Animal shelter to hold big yard sale this Saturday
The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal
Shelter (MOAS) is preparing for a
huge yard sale fundraiser Saturday.
July 16, at the Madison County
Fairgrounds in Comer.
Currently, they are seeking
donations of clean items in good
working order (all their pieces and
parts) for the event, although please
note, MOAS will not be able accept
large older TVs, computer monitors
or adult clothing.
MOAS is a 501c3 non-profit so
all donations are tax deductible as
allowed by the IRS and a donation
slip will be provided upon request.
The annual yard sale is one of the
shelter’s biggest fundraisers and 100
percent of the proceeds will go to the
daily care of dogs and cats that are
depending on MOAS to give them
a second chance at loving homes,
officials said.
“We hope we can count on your
support,” shelter officials said. “Then,
July 16, put on your comfy shoes and
your sun hat to come sniff out the
best bargains among the thousands of
donated items. The yard sale will have
it all: books, furniture, dog and cat
items, toys, dishes and much more...
and of course, it all for a good cause.”
