PUBLIC NOTICE
Madison Athcns-Clarkc Oconcc Regional Transportation Study (MACORTS), the cooperative transportation
planning body for the urbanized area which includes Athcns-Clarkc County, portions of southern Madison County
and northern Oconcc County, has scheduled public informational meetings to provide opportunity for the public to
review and comment upon proposed amendments to the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan. This document
outlines planned transportation improvements for the long and short term. This review and public notice of public
involvement activities and time established for public review of comment on the Long Range Transportation Plan
(LRTP) and/or Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) will satisfy the Program of Projects (POP) requirements
as established by the Federal Transit Administration.
Public comment will be accepted July 25 - August 8, 2016 concerning proposed changes to the 2040 Long Range
Transportation Plan. Changes include the addition of the SR 316 at Oconcc Connector Interchange Project and the
deletion of the Union Church Road Improvement Project and Simonton Bridge Road Project.
