EAGLE BASEBALL CAMPS
- We’ve had a great 3 weeks of
baseball camps here at ACS.
The camps have been led
by our Varsity Head Coach,
Allen Osborne, and by our
Pitching Coach, Jake West
brook. Coach Osborne is a
former college coach who
served as the Head Coach at
Wingate University in Char
lotte, and as an assistant at
UGA.
Coach Westbrook was a 1st
round pick in the 1996 Ma
jor League draft, and picked
up 105 wins in his 13-year
career. He also won a World
Series with St. Louis in 2011.
A big thanks to Coach Os
borne and Coach Westbrook,
who have made these last 3
weeks a great experience for
these kids.

Comer Health and Rehabilitation earns quality award
Comer Health and Rehabilitation
has earned the 2016 Silver -
Achievement in Quality Award by the
American Health Care Association
and National Center for Assisted
Living (AHCA/NCAL).
The award is the second of three
distinctions possible through the
AHCA/NCAL National Quality
Award Program, which recognizes
providers across the nation that have
demonstrated their commitment to
improving quality of care for resi
dents and patients in long term and
post-acute care centers and commu
nities.
“This award is a symbol of our
team’s commitment to the pursuit of
quality excellence,” said Jeff Ginn,
Administrator of Comer Health and
Rehabilitation. “Every day, 24/7, the
women and men of Comer H&R
work to ensure the highest level of
quality and person-centered care to
our residents, patients and their fami
lies. We are honored to be recognized
for the work we do.”
Based on the core values and cri
teria of the Baldrige Performance
Excellence Program, the AHCA/
NCAL National Quality Award
Program challenges member provid
ers to achieve performance excel
lence through three progressive levels
— Bronze, Silver and Gold. At the
Silver level, members develop and
demonstrate effective approaches that
help improve performance and health
care outcomes.
“It takes incredible dedication and
passion to successfully apply the
demands of the criteria,” said Chair of
the AHCA/NCAL National Quality
Award Board of Overseers Christine
Boldt. “I applaud Comer Health and
Rehabilitation for reaching this level
and for its commitment to always
improve.”
The awards will be presented to
honorees Oct. 18 during AHCA/
NCAL’s 67th Annual Convention and
Expo in Nashville, Tennessee.
