Harold Clayton Nix
DANIELSVILLE — Harold Clayton Nix, Daniels-
ville, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving
family and friends on Thursday, November 21, 2019,
at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Hill Nix; sons
and daughters-in-law, Tim and Renee Nix, and Steven
and Diane Nix; brother and sister-in-law, Rudolph and
Birdie Nix; six grandchildren; two great-grandchil
dren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family to receive friends: Sunday, November 24,
2019, from 2-4 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Funeral
Home in Danielsville.
Funeral service: Monday, November 25, 2019, at
2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the ser
vice at Shiloh Baptist Church, Danielsville. Pastors
Sean Thomas, Zack Holtzclaw and Robert Whitehead
will be officiating.
Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a
member at Gilead Baptist Church in Danielsville.
Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to
the American Kidney Fund in honor of Harold online
or by mail to 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rock
ville, Md„ 20852.
The family would like to say a special thank you to
all the loving home health professionals. Trademark

Harold.

William “Billy” Mort Rosen
William “Billy” Mort Rosen, 61, died suddenly and
unexpectedly on Friday, November 15, 2019 from a
pulmonary embolism stemming from pneumonia.
Billy was bom in White
Plains, New York, on Feb
ruary 26, 1958 to parents,
William and Vera Rosen.
He is survived by his
mother who just turned
100 years old and his
loving sister, Lily; his
foui' children, Jon Rosen,
Jennifer Rosen, Candace
Doster and Caryn Blim-
line; his seven grand
children, Taylor-Marie,
Ryleigh, Emmit, Aubrey, Aiden, Tyler and Jackson;
his significant other, Angelia Strickland; and his best
friend forever; Keith “Creed” Carson.
Billy will be remembered as a very kind and
hard-working man. Playing the guitar was his greatest
passion in life and he developed the skill to learn a song
by ear. He played in bands throughout his life, from his
high school homecoming to the Tabernacle in Atlan
ta. Some of his children’s fondest memories were of
watching him and his band at Dos Copas Restaurant in
Hamilton Mill.
Billy was a lover of animals and of the outdoors, and
especially enjoyed camping in the woods. He taught
his children to have a strong work ethic and to heat oth
ers with respect “no matter what.” He was a stubborn
father and son, but he was always proud of his children
and loving to his family.
Dad, son, brother, lover and friend, you will be great
ly missed.

Lewis Franklin “Frank” Shadburn
MAYSVILLE — Lewis Franklin “Frank” Shadburn,
72, Maysville, entered into rest Saturday, November
23,2019.
Mr. Shadburn was bom
in Alpharetta, the son of
the late Joe and Ollie Per
ry Shadburn, was a 50 year
Mason and a member of
the Matt Masonic Lodge
in Cumming and also
a member of the Holly
Springs United Methodist
Church. A successful car
salesman for 38 years, Mr.
Shadburn was retired from
Akins Ford-Chrysler.
Survivors include his wife Delene Marlow Shadburn,
Maysville; two sons. Chip Shadburn and his wife Julie,
Homer, and Ben Shadburn and his wife Kelli, Watkins-
ville; foui' grandchildren, Callie Barber, Laine Shad-
bum, Bennett Shadburn and Marlowe Shadburn.
Funeral service: Tuesday, November 26, 2019,
at 2 p.m. from the Holly Springs United Methodist
Church with the Revs. Tom Fish and Greg Porterfield
and Ned Klugh officiating with burial to follow in the
church cemetery with Masonic Honors by the Matt
Masonic Lodge. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers
are Dixon Marlow, Jeff Sanders, Shane Guined, Ned
Klugh, Macko Parks and Taylor Bryant.

Reba Odessa Jones Shields
BLOUNTSTOWN, FLORIDA — Reba Odessa Jones
Shields, 102, Blountstown, Florida, passed away Mon
day, November 18,2019 at her home.
Reba was bom August
6, 1917 in Winder, to the
late Andrew F. Jones and
Callie N. (Gurley) Jones.
She was baptized at the
Galilee Christian Church
as a young bride. She
was the owner and oper
ator of a beauty salon in
Dade County, Fla., and in
1968 she and her husband
moved to Blountstown,
Fla., where she established
Reba’s Beauty Salon on Main Street until her retirement.
She became a member of the Bristol Christian Church
and the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her
spare time, she loved to sew and read.
Mrs. Shields is preceded in death by her husband,
George W. Shields in 2001; and her brother, Ralph P.
Jones.
Survivors include her daughters, Helen Gavin and
Rita Maupin; her grandchildren, George Gavin, James
Maupin, Jr. and his wife Nanci; great-grandchildren,
Elizabeth Kate and John Shields Maupin; her extended
family, Patricia Orange and her husband Thomas, Mer
cer Crook and his wife Chris, Kevin Jones, Allen, Jones,
Cheryl Jones, Carol Jones, the Gurley Family, the Elder
Family, and James Maupin Sr., all of whom she loved
dearly.
Funeral service: Saturday, November 23, 2019, at
11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson,
with Minister Bruce Quiggle officiating. Interment will
follow in Galilee Christian Church Cemetery, Jefferson.
Family to receive friends: Saturday, November 23,
2019, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

John Jeffery Turner
GILLSVILLE — John Jeffery Turner, 56, Gillsville,
died Friday, November 22, 2019.
Jeff was bom in Gainesville to the late John W. and
Frances Belle Lewallen Turner. Jeff was a business own
er. In addition to his parents, Jeff was also preceded in
death by his sisters, Charlotte Harris and Gail Johnson.
We will always remember Jeff by the impact he left on
his family, and the legacy he has left for everything he
has done and accomplished in his community and sur
rounding communities. Jeff continuously helped others
and gave his all to make sure all was took care of. Jeff
was always surrounded by family and friends and lived
each moment to the fullest.
Jeff is survived by his brother, Bill Turner, Commerce;
sisters, Linda Wilson, Gillsville, and Nancy Cochran,
Ringgold; several nieces; and nephews.
Funeral service: Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at
1 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home
with the Revs. Marshall Dale and Terry Garrish officiat
ing with the interment following at Hickory Flat United
Methodist Church Cemetery.
Family to receive friends: Monday, November 25,
2019, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Drane Reginald Wilbanks
WINDER — Drane Reginald Wilbanks, 67, Winder,
passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Mr. Wilbanks was bom in
Commerce, a son to the late
John E. Wilbanks Jr. and
the late Betty Jo Langford
Wilbanks. Mr. Wilbanks
was the founder and owner
of Drane’s Sauce and was
a sales associate with The
Home Depot in Winder.
In addition to his parents,
Mr. Wilbanks was preced
ed in death by his brother,
Charles "Butch” Wilbanks.
Survivors include his
daughter, Marilyn Wilbanks Owens; son, Robert Reginald
Wilbanks; sister, Lauri Barrett and her husband Chandler;
brother, Johnny Wilbanks and his wife Elaine; aunt, Mar
tha Meade and her husband Tom; four grandchildren; and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial service: Thursday, November 21, 2019, at
2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister
Tony Huff officiating.
Family to receive friends: Thursday, November 21,
2019, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, prior
to the service.
