Sealed Bids for the construc
tion of the Sewerage System Im
provements, October 2021 will be
received, by CITY OF DANIELS
VILLE, at City Hall, 10 Govern
ment Circle, Danielsville, Georgia
30633, until 2:00 p.m. local time on
September 28, 2023, at which time
the Bids received will be publicly
opened and read. No submitted bid
may be withdrawn after the sched
uled closing time for receipt of bids
for a period of ninety (90) days. The
Project consists of construction of:
Division I: Installation of ap
proximately 25,500 linear feet of
8” gravity sanitary sewer, and ap
proximately 8,000 linear feet of 6”
force main complete with all appur
tenances. Division II: In-stallation
of two sewage pump stations in
cluding precast wet wells, pumps,
electrical, piping, site work and all
appurtenances as well as replace
ment of pumps, piping control
panel in an existing pump station
and the demolition of one existing
pump station.
Time of construction is 450
consecutive calendar days for sub
stantial completion and 480 con
secutive calendar days for final
completion.
Bids will be received for a sin
gle prime Contract. Bids shall be
on a lump sum and unit price basis,
with additive alternate bid items as
indicated in the Bid Form.
Proposals for the complete
work in one or more general con
tracts shall be made on the pro
posal form provided and shall con
tain prices in words and figures for
the work bid on.

“Utility Manager” certificate holder

work.

and steel products used in this
project must be produced in the
United States. The term “iron and

and fittings, manhole covers and
other municipal castings, hydrants,
tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and
restraints, valves, structural steel,
reinforced precast concrete, and
construction materials. The demini-

Sealed Bids for the construc
tion of the Water Pollution Control
Plant Additions, October 2021 will
be received, by CITY OF DAN
IELSVILLE, at City Hall, 10 Gov
ernment Circle, Danielsville, Geor
gia 30633, until 2:30 p.m. local time
on September 28, 2023 at which
time the Bids received will be pub
licly opened and read. No submit
ted bid may be withdrawn after the
scheduled closing time for receipt
of bids for a period of ninety (90)
days. The Project consists of con
struction of:
Provide field erected treatment
plant, control building, headworks
pump stations and sludge dewater
ing, including electrical, piping, all
appurtenances, site grading, and
grassing.
The Project has an expected
duration of 450 consecutive calen
dar days for substantial completion
and 480 consecutive calendar days
for final completion.
Bids will be received for a sin
gle prime Contract. Bids shall be
on a lump sum and unit price basis,
with additive alternate bid items as
indicated in the Bid Form.
Proposals for the complete
work in one or more general con
tracts shall be made on the propos
al form provided and shall contain
prices in words and figures for the
work bid on.
All Bidders must have a State
of Georgia Utility Contractors Li
cense and must employ a state
“Utility Manager” certificate holder
who will have oversight of all the
work.
The Issuing Office for the Bid
ding Documents is: Turnipseed
Engineers, 4210 Columbia Road,
Building 3, Augusta, Georgia

seed.com. Prospective Bidders
may examine the Bidding Docu
ments at the Issuing Office on Mon
days through Fridays between the
hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and
may obtain copies of the Bidding
Documents from the Issuing Office
as described below.

gineer, Turnipseed Engineers, in

through Fridays between the hours
of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Printed copies of the Bidding
Documents may be obtained from
the Issuing Office, during the hours
indicated above, upon payment of
a deposit of $400.00 for drawings
and specifications. Additional re
duced sized drawings are available
for $200.00 Bidders who return full
sets of the Bidding Documents in
good condition (suitable for re-use)
within 30 days after receipt of Bids
will receive a one-half (14) refund.
Checks for Bidding Documents
shall be payable to “Turnipseed
Engineers.” Upon request and re
ceipt of the document deposit indi
cated above plus a non-refundable
shipping charge, the Issuing Office
will transmit the Bidding Docu
ments. The date that the Bidding
Documents are transmitted by the
Issuing Office will be considered
the Bidder’s date of receipt of the
Bidding Documents. Partial sets
of Bidding Documents will not be
available from the Issuing Office.
Neither Owner nor Engineer will be

responsible for full or partial
sets of Bidding Documents, includ
ing Addenda if any, obtained from
sources other than the Issuing Of
fice.
Upon receipt of all documents
in undamaged condition within thir
ty (30) days after the date of open
ing of bids, one-half of the deposit
will be refunded. The difference be
tween the deposit and the amount
refunded represents the cost of re
production. No refund will be made
for documents received after thirty
(30) days or in damaged condition.
A pre-bid conference will not
be held.
Bid security shall be furnished
in accordance with the Instructions
to Bidders.
Bidders shall submit proof of
qualifications to perform the Work
as described in the Instructions to
Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right
to reject any or all bids and to waive
informalities.
Section 746 of Title VII of the
Consolidated Appropriations Act
of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture,
Rural Development, Food and
Drug Administration and Related
Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017)
and subsequent statutes mandat
ing domestic preference applies an
American Iron and steel require
ment to this project. All listed iron
and steel products used in this
project must be produced in the
United States. The term “iron and
steel products” means the follow
ing products made primarily of iron
and steel” lined or unlined pipes
and fittings, manhole covers and
other municipal castings, hydrants,
tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and
restraints, valves, structural steel,
reinforced precast concrete, and
construction materials. The demini-
mis and minor components waiver
apply to this contract.
