Charles Adam Bidinger
Charles Adam Bidinger, 61, cherished husband,
father, grandfather and brother, passed away on
Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Bom in Phoenix, Arizona, he was a son of the
late Frederick Marvin Bidinger and Mary Elaine
Doman Bidinger. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his grandparents, John and
Thelma Doman and Frederick and Ella Bidinger.
Charles worked for Heyward Allen Toyota for
more than 38 years and attended Cornerstone
Church Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Teal Biding
er, Colbert; two children, Miranda B. Worthington
(Jacob), Golden, Colorado, and Charles J. Bidinger
(Bailey), Gainesville; two granddaughters, Emma
Worthington and Lainey Bidinger (affectionately
called “Peanut”), due in November; four siblings,
Laura Ayers (Bob), Albuquerque, New Mexico,
Stephen Bidinger, Northville, Michigan, Thomas
Bidinger, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Minda
Vasquez (Pedro), Sammamish, Washington; and
six nieces and nephews.
Funeral service: Wednesday, August 16,2023, at
4 p.m. at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville.
Family to receive friends: Tuesday, August 15,
2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Patsy Ann Craven
GAINESVILLE — Patsy Ann Craven, 65,
Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, August
16, 2023.
Mrs. Craven was bom
in Rockmart, a daugh
ter to Mrs. Sally Lave-
ra Campbell Ploof of
Buchanan and the late
Howard Neese. Mrs.
Craven was a member
of the Talmo Baptist
Church and was a real
tor working with Virtual
Properties Realty.
In addition to her fa
ther, Mrs. Craven was
preceded in death by her brothers, Dyrle Neese and
Mike Neese; and a step-father, PJ. Ploof.
Survivors include her husband, whom she mar
ried in 1977, Mike Craven, Gainesville; children,
Heather Craven, Pendergrass, Sherie Castillo and
her husband Ramon, Pendergrass, and Daniel
Craven and his wife Paige, Pendergrass; mother,
Sally Lavera Campbell Ploof, Buchanan; sisters,
Mary Brannon and her husband Alan, Rockmart,
Lisa Key and her husband Jimmy Key Jr., Bremen;
brother, Paul Neese, Pendergrass; grandchildren,
Savannah Reeves, Paul Stancil, Serenity Castillo,
Jr. Castillo, Tyler Craven, Paris Craven and Tyler
Neese; one great-grandchild, Grayson Stancil; and
several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral service: Sunday, August 20, 2023, at
2 p.m. in the Talmo Baptist Church with the Rev.
Derek Howard officiating. The burial will follow
in the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery with grand
children and nephews honored as pallbearers.

Jackie S. Griffeth
Jackie S. Griffeth passed away on Thursday, Au
gust 17, 2023.
Mrs. Griffeth was bom February 13, 1941 and
was the daughter of the late Robert G. Strickland
Sr. and Mae Ruth Echols Strickland. She was bom
in Athens.
She attended Madison County Schools, West
Georgia College and The University of Georgia.
She began her teaching career at Hart County High
School and soon returned back to her alma mater
where she taught for the next 30 years until her re
tirement in 1996. While at MCHS Mrs. Griffeth
was named Star Teacher and was the senior class
sponsor for the majority of her tenure where she
organized graduation commencement for decades
of graduating students.
Beyond teaching her
business education
classes at MCHS Mrs.
Griffeth also established
the work based learning
program that continues
to serve students today.
She was also an active
member of the Madison
County Retired Teacher
Association.
Mrs. Griffeth served
on the board of trustees
for the Madison County Library. She was a mem
ber of Moon’s Grove Baptist Church for over 50
years where she served in various capacities there.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffeth was pre
ceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ken
neth Griffeth.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Grif
feth Bray (Jeff) and Tressa Griffeth Powell (Tim),
two granddaughters whom she adored, Mary Paige
Powell and Addie Powell; her siblings, George
Strickland (Autumn) and Brenda Moon (Dennis);
and by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces
and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude
to her angel caregivers, Debbie Bone, Annette
Hannah, Tina Dove and Susette Fields.
Funeral service: Saturday, August 19, 2023, at
12 p.m. at Moon’s Grove Baptist Church.

Margaret Faye Toney Griffin
JEFFERSON — Margaret Faye Toney Griffin,
79, Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, August
17, 2023.
Mrs. Griffin was bom
in Atlanta, a daughter to
the late Oma Lee Toney
and the late Ophelia
Miller Toney. Mrs. Grif
fin was a loyal mem
ber of the First Baptist
Church of Jefferson and
was an owner at Fresh
Frozen Foods in Jeffer
son.
Mrs. Griffin was a
founding member of
Peace Place and served on various boards includ
ing the City of Jefferson Planning Commission.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffin was pre
ceded in death by her brother, Lee Toney.
Survivors include her children, Billy Jr. and Soja
Griffin, Duluth, Barry and Belinda Griffin, Cen
terville, Va., Angela and Erik D’Zamko, Jefferson,
and Andrea Cook, Jefferson; 13 grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and 13 close-knit female
first cousins also survive.
Funeral service: Sunday, August 20, 2023, at
4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with
the Rev. Dr. Michael Helms officiating.

Anita Horne
DANIELSVILLE — Anita Home, 82, Daniels
ville, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
Bom on January 5, 1941, she was the daughter
of the late Johnnie Home and Willie May Sorrow
Home.
Anita was a hard-working woman and loved
flowers. She was an incredible mother, grand
mother and great-grandmother and was deeply
loved.

Jerry Lee Hulsey
BRASELTON — Jerry Lee Hulsey, 62, Bra-
selton passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at
Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Braselton, sur
rounded by his family.
Mr. Hulsey was bom
September 17, 1960,
to the late John Paul Jr.
and Marjorie Thomp
son Hulsey in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
He was employed by
the Town of Braselton
for 20 years as a lab an
alyst with the wastewa
ter department and was
of the Christian faith.
Mr. Hulsey is survived
by his wife, Sue Ellen Hulsey, Braselton; daugh
ters and son-in-law, Elisha Hulsey, Braselton, and
Heather and Kody Savage, Gainesville; grandchil
dren, Jericha McLelland, C.J. McLelland and Ev-
elynn Hulsey; brothers and sister-in-law, John P.
Ill and Tmdy Hulsey, Braselton, and Jeff Hulsey,
Braselton; and many nieces and nephews.

Sebring Griffin Lewis
Sebring Griffin Lewis died on July 25,2023, sur
rounded by her loving family. Her radiant smile,
generous spirit, and fierce love for her family will
be forever missed.

Andrew Griffin. She
and her brother Joseph
were raised in Union
Point. She met her hus
band, Thomas Griffith
Lewis at Emory at Ox
ford in the 10th grade.
They went on to marry
and have three chil
dren, Caroline, Salli and
Parker.
Moving frequently during their 5 8-year mar
riage, Sebring was a steadfast supporter of her hus
band and family. She was an active member in sev
eral book clubs, the P.E.O. Sisterhood and W.O.W.
She was a fonner board member at Mountain Sun
Community School in Brevard, N.C., and Habitat
for Humanity.
