Obituaries
She worked closely with her husband in differ
ent church communities that he pastored, serving
the church as an Elder, Deacon, Stephen Minister,
and a volunteer with Presbyterian Disaster Relief.
Sebring was a beautiful, genteel and gracious
southern woman who was radiant in all that she
did. She sparkled. She was full of life and drew
strength from her love of nature and her deep,
abiding faith.
Sebring is preceded in death by her brother, Jo
seph Andrew Griffin; and mother, Caroline Buist
Scott Griffin.
She is survived by her loving husband, Reverend
Dr. Thomas G. Lewis, Brevard, N.C.; children,
Caroline Lewis, Brevard, N.C., Salli Lewis, Bre
vard, N.C., and Parker Lewis and Emily Mainwar-
ing, Asheville, N.C. She found joy in her grand
children, Bailey and Micaela, Stro and Mary Ella,
Sophie, Sam and Evan.
Luneral service: Saturday, September 2, 2023,
at 2 p.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 256 E.
Main St., Brevard N.C.

Gary Dwayne Roberts
Gary Dwayne Roberts, 57, cherished husband,
father, brother and friend, passed away unexpect
edly on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Bom in Panama, he was a son of Nativida Saave
dra and the late Ray Tommy Roberts. Dwayne was
a Veteran of the United States Navy and was the
owner of Air Service Heating and Cooling.
He enjoyed fanning and had a passion for camp
ing and fishing. In addition to his father, he was
preceded in death by his sister, Angie Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Roberts; three
sons, Mathew, Blake and Jacob Roberts; several
brothers and sisters and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Funeral service:
Wednesday, August 16,
2023, at 2 p.m. at Lord
and Stephens, Daniels-
ville. Interment will fol
low in the Colbert City
Cemetery.

Terry Webster Smith
JEFFERSON — Terry Webster Smith, 66, Jef
ferson, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.
Bom on October 20,
1956 in Commerce, Mr.
Smith was the son of
the late W.C And Mary
Bowles Smith. He was
an Army Veteran, a
tmck driver and was of
the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his
wife, Patricia Crawford
Smith; daughters, Cora
Lee Michelle (Billy)
West, Teresa (Richard)
Smith,and Tiffany Quinn; son, Terry Joe Smith;
sisters, Emily Baker and Eveyln Chambers; broth
ers, Randall Smith, Summie Smith and Bobby
Smith; seven grandchildren; and four great-grand
children.
Graveside service: Thursday, August 17, 2023,
at 11 a.m. at Jackson Memorial Gardens with the
Rev. Gordon Crawford officiating.

Shirley Lemonds Titshaw
HOSCHTON — Shirley Lemonds Titshaw, 86,
Hoschton, passed away on Tuesday, August 15,
2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Titshaw was
bom September 2,1936,
to the late Wesley and
Maggie Lemonds in So
cial Circle. In addition
to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her
husband, Charles Dean
Titshaw Sr.; daughter,
Gloria Young; two sis
ters; and five brothers.
She is survived by her
son and daughter-in-
law, Charles Dean Titshaw Jr. and Suzanne Tit
shaw; daughter and son-in-law, Diane Epps and
David Fowler; grandchildren, Rachel and Joshua
Price, Jason and Rebecca Young and Nicole Tit
shaw; great-grandson, Jay Price; and a number
of other relatives.Funeral service: Friday, August
18, 2023, at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of
Winder. The Rev. Irby Stanley will officiate.
