its contents noted. &c. Xu reply to your enquiry in
regard to the Manipulated Ouano as a fertilizer J
*m well pleased so far as 1 have tested its use. 1 ap
plied about 100 lbs. per acre on laud that was badly
worn, and not of the best when fresh. The product
ol the field where the Guano was applied is over Buo
lhs. of seed cotton per acre. The same kind of land
without the Guano produced about 4uo lbs. per acre.
My mode of apolyring the Guano, was by depositing
it in tlie drill before bedding tip the hind. I have not
tried its use on corn, but have no doubt hut it will
succeed well. 1 shall use it pretty extensively on
my next crop.
Yours Respectfully.

Pros. O. J. Wood— Dear ."Sir — Your Hair Restora

give your iluir Restorative a perfect test.
During the year 1854.1 was --o um'ortunnte as to
be thrown from my sulky against a rock near the
roadside, from winch iny head received a most ter
rible blow, causing a great deal of irritation, which
communicated to the brain and external surface of
the head, from the effects of which my lmir was
finally destroyed over theeutire surface of the head.
From the time I first discovered its droop ng.how

ployed every ttimg+could <hink of, being a profes

the nature of the disease, but was fii.aliy defeated
in every prescription advanced.
These and n other circum-tanees induced me to
resort to your worthy Hair Restorative, which I
have every reason to believe produced a very hap
py resulti'two montns after tiie first application, 1
had as beautiful a head of young hairas I ever saw.
for which I certainly owe you my most sincere
thanks. Rest assured dear sir, I shall commend
your remedies to all enquirers! moreover. I shall

Dear Sir—l feel it my duty as well a my pleasure,
to state to you the following circumstance, which
you can use asyou think proper. A gentleman of
this place, (a lawyer) has been raid ever since his
earlv youth; so much so, tha he was compelled to
wear a wig. He was induced to use a bottle of vour
‘‘Hair Restorative, 1 ’ which he liked v ry much;’ and
after using some two or three bottles his hair grew
out quite luxuriantly, and lie now has a handsome
head of l air. The aentlcman’s name is Bradford,
and as he is very well known in our adjoining coun
ties, many persons can testify to the truth of this
statement: I give it >oyouat the request ofMr. Brad
ford. You can sell agrentdeul of your Hair Resto
rative in this and the adjoin:’ g counties if you have
the proper agents. THOMAS SI TtOHNOR.
Da. wood: Dear Sir—Permit me to express the ob
ligations I am under for the entire restoration of mv
hairt” its original color; about the time of my arri
val in the United States it was rapidly turning gray,
but upon the #pplie?k>nof your Hair Restorative”
it soon recovered its original hue. I consider your
Restor-tive as a very wonderful invention, quite ef
ficacious as well as agreeable. s. THAI.BERG.
The Restorative is put up m bottles of hree sizes,
vi*: large medium and smalt: the “mail holds half a
pint and retails for one dollar per ho’tle: the medi
um holds at east twenty per cent more in propor
tion than the small, and retails for two dollars per
bottle; the large holds a quart. 4>i per cent more In
proportion, and retails for three dollars per bottle.

Fever and Ague,
from which mankind suffer over a large part of
the globe, is the consequence of a diseased action
in the system, induced by the poisonous miasm of
vegetable decay. This exhalation is evolved by
the action of solar heat on wet soil, and rises with
the watery vapor from it. While the sun i i y*~ l *J>*"’
the horizon this -apor lingers near the
face, and the vims is
lungs into the blood. There It *cts ns aturrtnung
poison on the internal viscera afid excreting organs
of the body. The liver becomes torpid and fails to
secrete not only this virus, hut also the bile from
the blood. Both the vims and the liilc accumulate
in the circulation, and produce violent constitu
tional disorder. The spleen, the kidneys, and the
stomach sympathize with the liver, and become
disordered also. Finally, the instinct of our or
ganism, as if in an attempt to expel the noxious
infusion, concentrates the whole blood of the body
in the internal cxcretories to force them to cast it
out. The blood leaves the surface, and rushes to
the central organs with congestive violence. This
is the Chill. But in this effin tit fails. Then the
Fever follows, in which the blood leaves the cen
tral organs and rushes to the surface, as if in
another effort to expel the irritating poison through
that other great excretory the skin. In this
also it fails, and the system abandons the attempt
exhausted, and waits for the recovery of strength
to repeat the hopeless effort another and iv. These
are the fits or paroxysms of Fever and Anus.
Such constitutional disorder will of course under
mine the health if it is not removed.
We have labored to find, aud have found, an
antidote,
Ayer’s Ague Cure,
which neutralizes this malarious noison in the
blood, and stimulates the liver to expel it from the
t ody. As it should, so it does cure this alllictiug
disorder with perfect certainty. And it does more,
or rather does what is of more service to those sub
ject to this infection. If taken in season it expels
it from the system as it is absorbed, and thus keeps
those who use it free from its attacks; keeps the
system in health although exposed to the disease.
Consequently it not only cures, but protects from,
the great variety of affections which arc induced
by this malignant influence, such as Remittent
1‘ ever. Chill Fever, Dumb, or Masked Ague,
Periodical Headache, or Bilious Headache, Bilious
Fevers, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Blindness,
Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpita
tions, Painful Affections of the Spleen, Hysterics,
Colic, Paralysis, and Painful Affections of the
Stomach and Bowels, all of which, when arising
from this cause, will lie found to assume more or
less the intermittent type. This “Ague Cuke”
removes the cause of these derangements, and cures
the disease.
This it accomplishes by stimulating the cxcre
tories to expel the virus from tiie system ; and
these organs by degrees become habited to do this
their office of their own accord. Hence arises what
we term accUmatatiou. Time may accomplish the
same end, but often life is not long enough, or is
sacrificed in the attempt, while this “ Ague Cure ”
docs it at once, and with safety. We have great
reason to believe this is a surer as well as safer
remedy for the whole class of diseases which are
eaused by the miasmatic infection, than any other
which has been discovered; and it has still another
important advantage to tiie public, which is, that
it is cheap as well as good.
