A large number of the citizens of
Gordon county assenihlcd at the Court
House last Saturday to bear the speech
of Hon. Thomas ft rdaman At the he
ginning of his speech the distinguished
gentleman opened a vein of reason and
eloquence, and held the attention of his

first time in his life that ho had had the
pleasure of appearing before the people
ol Gordon County, and he felt that it
should be a source of congratulation
that no political issues at present agi
tate the minds ot the people. Georgia
had much to be proud of. Out of the
ashes of desolation had emerged,

State moved on in the majesty of her

Boyd’s, of Sonora, whose culture and

jovial company free to enjoy the temp
