For the inlbrnution of this friend (?)
we w mid say that we never knew that
we bad a meddlesome oue, and that .ve
never made a statement about any one
which uc would not readily repeat if
necessary; that our sword is ever
sheathed to a fri nd but drawn to an
enemy and keenly drawn oan enemy
coming in the disguise of a fiiend.
Wc unhesitatingly assert that the au

traitor and a coward whose breath is as
vile as the hies of a serpent, and whose
heart is as black as the shades of
Hades.
Asreg-.rds the slippery ground we
occupy, we stand on a pair of patent
independent Tar River boot-heels and
propose to be personally responsible for
all they support.
if we possess any facts in icgard to
any one, we shall- n- t hesitate to state
them at the proper time, regardless of
any threats.

this common enemy, with the least in

Experience of a Young Woman.
- A country girl, young, pretty, and

roses of health bloomed upon her cheek.
, One spring morning she was overtaken

cold.
It was her “ particular time,” and
suppression was the result. At the

I her distressed condition, and she longed
f.r death as the only h -pc of relief
At the instance of a friend, who her-"
self experienced its benefits, she was
induced to try Dr Bradfieid’s Female
