THE NEW FAMILY SINGER SEWING MACHINE. with attachments For All Kinds of Work. jv f v 4 winning favor in the household, a thown >)v the rapidly increasing sales. This Sew Family Machine is capt I.lc of a range and variety of work such a v/as oneo thought impossible to perforin 1\ machinery. We claim and can show that it is the cheape.t, most beautiful, delicately arranged, nicely adjusted, easily operated, and smoothly running of all the family sewing machines. It is remarkable, not only lor the range and variety of its. sew ing, but also for the variety and different kinds of texture whicn it will sew with ccusl fa 1 ty and perfection, using silk t vn t. lire n. or cotton thread, fine or Coar.-e, makitur the i.ter elastic lockstitch, alike J u both sides of the fabric sewn. Thus, beaver cloth, or leather, may be sewn with gl . ea t strength and uniformity of stitch , aad, in a moment, this willing and never wearying iust ’iiment may be adjusted for fme work on gauze or gossamer tissue, or the tucking of tarlatan, or ruffling, or al most any o ; hcr work which delicate fingeis have been known to perform. Ours having long been the pular and practical machines for manuf oti ring pur poses, some dealers, using ‘ll e tricks of trade,” take advantage of thi t n trying to persuade purchasers that o r F imily Ma chine is not equal, for family sew ng to our Manufacturing Machines for manufacturing purposes. 15ut purchasers—and they are apt to examine carefully before choosing It live not been merely persuaded, but con vinced that our new family machine embod ici new and essential principles —simplicity of construction; ease ol operation ; uni formity of precise action at any speed ; ca pacity for c i u ge and variety of work, fine or coarse -leaving ail rivals behind it. Sew.'Machine Sales 0f1874. T’i; i lc of sewing machine sale3 for 1574 ih o v that our sales for that year amountet to 211,607 machines, being a large increase over the sales of the previ ous year. The table shows that our sales exceed those of any other company for the period named, by the number of 148,852 machines, nearly Three Times Those of any other Com pany. It may be further stated that the sales ot 1872, a 5 compared with the sale, of 1872, show a relatively large increase beyond the sales of other makers. For instance, in 1872 we sold 45,000 more machines than any other company ; whereas, in 1873, the Hales were 13,254 Machines in Excess of Our Highest Competitor. And in 1971 our sales were 118,852 Machines More Than Au Other Company. OFFICIAL REPORT. The following is a correct report of tin silos of sewing machines made by the lead ing companies during the past lour years A careful examination of the figures wil show that the “SINGER” have largely in creased each year, while, on the contrary, r> corresponding decrease is shown in the sale: reported by all other companies. This is ; highly satisfactory result to us, and is only another preofthat “merit always has its re ward.” & winy Machine, Sales for 1874.
