A FUNNY Thing about putting on shoes no matter what shoe you put on first the other one will be left. Another tunny thing, no matter if they are made on a long last, they wont last any longer on that account. Tire man who fell into the Savannah liver the other day, went in up to his shoe tops and got drowned, not on account of the shoes, but because he went in head first. Our NEW Shoes for men are now' in. While we carry every grade, from the hand-made French calf up to the workingman’s dollar shoe, there’s one particular shoe which we sell that is wiTHOti i fah I’TION the best shoe for the aver age man to buy that ever was made : that’s our genuine Goodyear welt shoe, winch we| sell for §3. We sell these shoes tor ixactiy what they are. Many a shoe salesman thinks it a smart SCHEME To sell them for hand-made, simply because not one man in a thousand knows the differ ence. We sell them for Goodyear welts, and they .ire better than some hand-made shoes. We have them in all widths, in all sizes in Blucher, Lace or Congress, and we know them so well that we say to you, when you buy them if they wear out too soon you can have your choice—S3 in cash or new shoes for nothing. The relative value of baking powder has been long discussed. The question has at last been answered bvT World’s Fair jury of award. Dr. Price's Cream Baking Powder is declared to be the best. Several different points of superiority were claimed for it, and they were all found to exist bv the jury, which was made up of scientific men best fitted to make a thorough analysis of all the various kinds of baking powder submitted for the prize. Dr H W. Wiley, chief cliem- • ist of the United States department of agri culture, an expert, and the highest authority on the healtlifulness of food products y.i America, gave the jury the benefit of his analysis of all the different brands and merit alone prompted the award.
