IN reply to the advertisement of A. S. Rhodes, the North Ca rolina gentleman, (as he stiles , himself), cautioning all persons against crediting me, on his ac count, or harboring me —I think proper to state a few facts —This gentleman, whom unfortunately, I was persuaded by interested persons to marry, arrived here about two months ago destitute of money and clothes, and with out any apparent meant of sup. port ; Such a caution from him is therefore somewhat ludicrous. He has sold a quantify of my cotton and has carried of my sil ver plate and other articles with a view I have no doubt to con vert them into cash j He has cru elly beat and abused me, so that I did not conceive nty life in safety by living with him , I am therefore determined to separate myself from him for life, and I do hereby forwarn all persons front bargaining with him for any property belonging to the estate of Joseph Welicher, inv late husband, as he has no rightor authority to dispose of any part of it.
