A NEW PRINCIPLE.
WELL WORTHY THE CONSIDERATION
OF EVERY HOUSEKEEPER.
The important principle of wasing clothes without
friction has at last been discovered, aud is perfectly
exemplified in the great
KNUCLE WASHING MACHINE.
It combines all the requisites of Simplicity, Dura
bility and Economy, different from all others and in
the mode of applying it Nothing can surpass it in
rapidity of execution, and there is nothing that can
compare with it, in washing clean without damage
to the articles entrusted to it It n ver removes a
button, flattens a hook, or tears the most delicate
fabric or half-worn articles of dresa
It operates so easily that a boy of 10 or 12 years
of age can do large washings It will prove itseli
to be all that it is recommended to be.
The al>ove Machines are now being manufactured
at Greenesboro Ga., by the subsc iber, who has the
right to and sell them in the counties of Mor
gan, Greene and Hancock. He wo Id therefore
take pleasure in announcing to the citizens of the’
above counties, that he las employed Mr. S. T.
STONE to canvass those counties with one of the
Machines, who will take great pleas .re in showing
it to every body, and if ttiey prefer seeing it in ope
ration all they will be required to do is to fvirnish
hun with some hot water and soap, and then then
dirty clothes which he will wash so clean and in so
short a time as to astonish every one who has not
seen it in operation before.
Persons wishing to purchase Machines can giv*-
him an order or send it direcrlly to ;oe and they will
be forwarded immediately with printed instructions
how to use them.

Athens, September 23, 1853.
Or.. James W. Prjcd,
My Dear S;r:—i owe you an apology for not ac
knowledging sooner, your kindness in placing in my
hands, through our mutual friend, A. Biiluos, Esq.,
a bottle of Cholera Carminative Cordial. The con
tents were scon exhausted—l tried it personally, bu
more effectually on one of my sons, who had a vio
lent attack oi Dysentery. The medicine acted
promptly, and efficiently-, and I feel authoriz'd,
therefore, to recommend it in strong tc-rras, as a
pleasant and safe remedy for bowel affections.—
Wishing you, sir, ail the success in life to which
yenr perseverance entitles you, I am truly yours

Dear Sir—ln.compliance withvny promise, 1 write
you in reference to your Cholera Carminative Cor
dial. I have fairly tried it in eight cases—four ot
them were of long standing, having ten to twentv
bloody discharges in about every 24 hours. In eac
•>’ these cases I gave but 2 doses, with entire relief.
The remaining four cases, I gave only one dose,
which proved effectual —you know I had to be spai
ing, as I had but a small bottle. I could sell one
hundred bottles in this vicinity, if I had them, sinci
1 cured those persons, as I have almost an hourly
call for the preparation. I could send you eertifi
cates it it were necessary.
Respectfully, R. CLAYTON.
Permit me to say to those who use rpy pre
paration, that it is safe and effectual —and whe
properly and fairly tried, in those diseases for whic'-;
st is prescribed, it will scarce! ever fail. Be sure t:>
follow the printed directions upon each bottle. 1;
-orne cases, where there are frequent, small dir
charges of blood end mucous, with great pain, ?
would in the first attack, advise the administration,
to an adult, of one tab : e spoonful of oil with 60 drop ■
of Laudanum, repeating in 12 h< rs, if u. c oil shouk
not operate —afterwards using the cordial accordiu j
to directions.
