Club
You get just what you
pay for, or at least that’s
Bill ‘Parker’s motto,,
owner and manager of
Club Hollywood in
Daytona Beach, Florida.
Although the stage is
small and the bar is in
timate, you always see the
greatest array of talent
with nothing but top-notch
performers.
The show opens with
that fantastic Billie Boots
thrilling the audience with
his rendition of “Alright 1
Ok You Win.’’ He strolls
into the audience with his
unrehearsed ad-libbing
warming them up. You
would think he w 4 as a fe
male Don Rickies, or
Phyllis Diller, and his
wardrobe can be com
pared to that of a female
Liberace. He is never
seen in the same gown
twice.
That lovely and
talented, Roski Fer
nandez, Director of the
show follows with his ren
dition of_yicki Carr’s
“Cuando Caliente El
Sol.’’ Every number that
Roski does is a production
with special lighting and
sound effects, etc. After
Billie Boots
working as a choreo
grapher for the world
famous Glade in Honolulu,
he certainly knows his
business. The glamorous
gowns that he Wears
are all designed and made
by him. One of his
' most requested numbers
is the Hawaiian Wedding,
using a gown valued in
excess of $1500.
Leslie L. Ross
On July 4, 5 and
6th, My House Lounge
was fortunate to be treat
ed with the first one per
son concert starring the
fabulous Miss Leslie
Ross.
Miss Ross did two
shows each of these three
nights. Doing such favo- x
rites as Diana Ross,
Shirley Bassey, Dionne
Warwick and Tina
Turner. She was assist
ed by Miss Terri Lee
Taylor, Miss Jennifer
Boston and Mr. Michael,
along with various other
local stars and dancers.
Opening the show was
a fully-staged production
number with two male
dancers, two female dan
cers and Miss Ross.
The opening number
was her rendition of
Diana Ross live at Cai-
!sar’s Palace, doing
famous Suprernes' Melo
dies showing her real tal
ent as the one and only
Diana Ross. She then
lead into a rousing con
trast of personality of
the wild and exotic Tina
Turner.
This concert was a
treat portraying the rare
and versatile talents of
one individual, and was
done at the special re
quest of fans and con
noisseurs of talent. For
those who missed this
concert, My House is
proud to announce that
Miss Ross’ various tal-
jents may be seen nightly
as the star of the “Hot
Glitter Revue.’’
The Barb 7
IWorld,” which he trea
sures most.
To add spice and
variety to the show, their
male lead, Michael does
that oldie, Maria, and the
“Body Beautiful,’’ Candy
Joe gives the audience
just what they want as
he does his rendition of
u T’ve Been Down.” Candy
is usually billed as an
excellent stripper who
leaves little to the ima
gination.
Although the acts were
very hard to follow, that
special guest star from
Indianapolis, Miss Rox-
ane certainly contributed
his part to the show and!
received much applause
when he did his version!
of “I’ve Never Been A
Woman.”
The combined talents
of Candy Joe and Michael
also added variety to the
show as they did the
comedy skit, “Cleans and
Dirties.”
Also appearing regul
arly is that beautiful
‘ ‘Lady Baronessa, ’ ’ that
is when he is not travel
ling to other engagem
ents.
If drag is your bag
don’t miss the Club Hoi-]
lywood Revue for a very
entertaining evening.

That “quick change”
artist, Billie Boots, can
not be outdone as he re
turns to the stage with;
his imitation of Carol;
Charming, again thrilling
the audience with more
ad-libbing, wearing a-
nother gorgeous gown that
would make any drag
queen drool. Miss Boots,
by the way is known coast

The "Lady Baronessa”
It all began four years f
ago when a small group
of guys decided to dress
up in female attire for
a Halloween party in Chi
cago, just for fun..a care
er that has sky-rocketed
to the top for the one and
only, “Lady Bar onessa,”
currently appearing at
Club Hollywood in Day
tona Beach, Fla.
The next year, the
same group and others
did it again, but this time
choosing a winner. Out
of three hundred eighty-
four contestants, the
Baronessa was chosen
first runner-up. This was
the beginning of his care
er. He and three others
were asked to perform
at the grand opening of
the Baton, New Year’s
Eve. Their acts were
so well accepted that
:the owner hired them' for
regular shows. Later he
opened a new club, the
Togetherness, where they
did weekend shows. Lady
Baronessa also perform
ed at the “New Baton”

' In May 1973, during
a brief absence from im
personating, Roby Lan
ders of the House of Lan
ders convinced him thqt
he shpuld enter the Miss
Gay America Contest ;
which was to be held in
Nashville, Tenn, at the
Glass Menagarie. After
seeing his performances
Roby was so confident
that he sponsored him in
the contest. Well, it
could not have been a
finer choice because the
Baronessa walked away
with the crown and the
titfe of Miss Gay Am
erica 1973. Since then ;
his life has been full of
excitement and travel.

Well, that’s a Cancer for
you.
He is very proud of
his title, “Lady Baron
essa,’ ’ and attributes his
success to four great
ladies, from whom he is
patterning his life. These
ladies are none other than
Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia
Loren, Princess Grace of
Monaco and his sister,
a housewife. His formula i
for success as a female
impersonator is 30% tal
ent, 60% woman (acting)
and 10% chance, or per
sonality, and he gives this
advice to those who are
interested in this type of
career, “believe in your
self and never forget your
audience.” What does he
look for in a man? * He
says, “It’s the little boy
quality in a man that
makes him a man.”
With only four years
experience y as a female
impersonator, his road
is paved to stardom and
we are sure you will be
peeing a lot ofJjim in the
future.
