page 8 fL&QTOL'E Fish & Roses is a three piece band from New York City that just released an EP, "Fish & Roses" on Lost Records. The group's sound is derived from jazz, but it comes across as a blend of traditional fol-k melodies and avant-garde rock. This trio's motto is never let a "normal" riff get through in a song. Fish & Roses produces a complex sound in a language they definitely understand. The group consists of Sue Conner (bass, harmonica, violin and vocals), Rick Brown (drums and vocals), David Sutter (keyboards and vocals. Fish & Roses toured through Europe last year and are just beginning a tour for the new album produced by Chris Nelson, They will be bringing their off-the-wall sounds to the Rockfish Palace on Thursday, January 21st.
