through a window is certainly
something, is it not? And if the

Since taking the name Super! Dude &
The Magic Wands, the band has been

shifts. Gene Lyons defining the
throbbing root of their MUSIC SAID,
"I'd like our MUSIC to sound like the
hum you get in your head when you
drink coffee and beer at the SAME
TIME."
The band consists of the Nearly
immortal VIC CHESNUTT/keys &
vocals; the slvlv energetic HAYNES
COLLINS/guitar, bass & programmed
percussion; The Merciless DAVID
BARBE/drums, guitar & bass; and the
Merely Frantic GENE LYONS/drums,
guitar. Utilizing what they like to call
the only universal truth, the players
while plavino. oarantheticallv post
ulate through their music that an eel is
a fish, a whale, is a MAMMAL, and a
Bird is a Bird.
All the MEMBERS collaboratively
pen their songs. Guitarist BARBE
commenting on his guitar prowess,
states, "When you don’t know MANY
NOTES, you gotta bend alot of
strings." This one time effort gives VIC
the perfect opportunity to TACKLE
such Lyrical Issues as (his beloved
shoe size) MEN who sell Nasturtiums
AND COLLINS describes the dude
sound as "something with bio bold
words."
HOME BOYS from California,
ROUGH TRADES’ "Beat Happening"
will open the show. The WANDS only
hope for this heartfelt Magnificence of
honor of the Grit is that folks please
remember that "ish ka bibble" is a
Yiddish phrase that MEANS "I Should
Worry."
