it anymore or that their
performances would misfire in
front of people who have only
heard the legends.. They have
been practicing secretly for
months as often as they could at
the studio of another band who
gladly lent them their space.
There have been many long hours
of rehearsal along with
individual overtime to polish
their rusty licks.
It certainly paid off. As a
person who never missed their
shows even in the earliest
Tyrone's gigs, I felt myself a
qualified judge of the test of
time. The first part of the test
won my body over immediately. I
was dancing. Dancing as I did
years before with so much
wildness and energy that my
muscles were sore for days, just
as they were for those past
shows. Pylon was the dance band
in a town where the whole scene
was based on dancing, before
crowds became complacent and
forgot how to feel the music.
The second part of the test was
there also. The music was nearly
note perfect to the recordings.
This was quite an assurance to
the young fans who had never seen
live Pylon on fire, proving the
band as powerful as the legend.
The third part of the test were
the smiles — not those on the
faces of the crowd, even though
they were beaming all'over the
room from sweat-soaked dancing
faces — but those of the band.
