They’ve been compared to Dinosaur Jr., Husker Du, and Volcano Suns. They have the
distinction of having the FCC unhappy about their songs "Slack Motherfucker”, "Sick to
Move", "Down the Hole”, and "Not Tomorrow”. They are from North Carolina and you should
see them or pour hot jelly over yourself. They are Superchunk. 40 Watt, Friday the 22nd.
White and Cottar
Want to hear some real jazz? Want to hear some originals, plus some Thelonius Monk,
Miles Davis, Charlie Parker? Chuck White and Danny Cottar (of the O'Fays and Time Toy,
respectively) will be opening for Frankie Lee and the Solid Senders on March 15 at the
Downstairs, and they will be playing some real jazz for all you real jazz fans.
The Perfect Couple
Lenny will headline the evening of Wednesday, March 20 at the Downstairs. It seems that
I can not turn on WUOG without hearing their single, but that is perfectly alright with me. Britta

When Bonehead was in Japan , touring with the Cramps, he mentioned to someone that
he was from Athens. Did they ask about the REMsters?, Pylon? The Mudd Puppies? No. They
wanted to know if he knew anybody in Widespread Panic. It’s a world wide thing. We know
what goes on at the GA theatre when they return.
Well it’s about damn time that Panic came back to town. When was the last time that they
were here anyway? It had to be eons ago, at least a million years (or at least it seems that
way). Anyway, they’re here and tickets will be a goin’ quickly so it’s a good idea to get them
ahead of time, but then again, who am I to tell you how to live your life? So you had better
be at the Georgia Theater on the 1st and 2nd at 11:30 sharpish. It is the only way to begin
a new quarter or the first day of your new life.
