PARTIES
40 Watt Club — A Masquerade Ball featuring a fashion
show, drag show, costume contest, door pnzes. live DJ and
catering from Weaver D’s and the Grit will be held Hallow
een night Admission is $5 and proceeds go to the Athens
Homeless Shelter and ‘Our Daily Bread* soup kitchen.
Embers Lounge (Holiday Inn)—A cookout will be at 6:00
pm with a party following afterwards. Party is Oct. 30.
Sugar Bowl — Combination Halloween/first anniversary
party. First 100 people at the club will get free T-shirts.
Club Fred — Costume party with Fuzzy Sprouts. Thorny-
hold and Jellyhead.
HAUNTED HOUSES
A Haunted House sponsored by the Athens Area Jaycees
willbeopenOct 24 —Nov.2. Weekday hours are from 7:00
— 10:30 pm, and weekend hours are 7:00 pm until the
house is empty. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for
children under 12 (although parental guidance is sug
gested) The house is located next to Badcock Furniture on
Lexington Road with free parking in the Badcock parking lot
KIDS
Athens Regional Library — Wednesday, Oct. 30 from
2:45 — 4:15 pm will be Halloween stones for older kids.
Free tickets are required, and are currently available at the
library. Thursday, Oct. 31 will be a Halloween program for
younger kids. Children can wear their costumes and craft
activities will be provided. Free tickets are required, and are
