A House Full
Crowded House, out supporting their new album,
Woodface will make a stop at the Georgia Theater on
Wednesday, December 4. Known for being improvisa-
tional in their live shows, bass player Nick Seymour had this
to say about their performances in a recent Flagpole
interview (September 18, 1991) “[We] just re-invent songs
on stage, or re-defme our show at any given point where the
song might change from what we recorded on the album to
a swing or cocktail kind of thing, or perhaps we get
someone out of the audience." So start rehearsing those
Crowded House tunes so that you’ll be prepared when
you’re pulled up on stage We’ve also recently learned that
Tim Finn is not touring with the band at this point as he's
pursuing solo projects
Woodface is Crowded House’s third album and it took
approximately three years to produce. "We recorded about
22 songs. It was also establishing the new sort of identity for
the band as well and saying goodbye to the old one,’ said
Seymour. As for the band’s college radio/alternative music
label in America, he asked the question: "How conservative
do you have to be in America to be accepted in the
mainstream?" Well whatever the case may be, go to the
show and enjoy one of Australia’s finest bands.
