O'Neil at the R.E.M. headquarters, those dates
should be finalized soon.

Several lovable musiaans-about-town (111
keep them nameless as to better their per
suasiveness) will gather once more in the
guise of Helium Kidz to perform their mirror-
image XTC tribute at the Atomic Music Hall
Wednesday, Jan. 18. But that's not all, kids.
Members of a well-known Athens band that
have a CD released on DB Rees, have been
known to scare small children, and some
times have liquid light shows projected be
hind them, will pay tribute to what we can
only imagine to be their biggest influence—
DEVO. Yes, that's right, XTC and DEVO on the
same bill. Imagine that. And all taking place
in our little sleepy town. Who says Athens has
lost its edge?

places in the South to catch acoustic music.
Connected to Eddie's is a fine eatery with an
outdoor deck, so if the music isn't doing it for
you, maybe the food and fresh air |j
will.

of some shows taking place. Here
goes: Eddie From Ohio (that's not
