Community Connected
Civic. Athens Photography Share Group offers photographic
fellowship to anyone interested in photography. Meetings
are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
Activities include slide presentations and field trips. Contact

Support. We receive hundreds of calls each week from in
dividuals looking for hi 'p. Sometimes, no known service
exists. If you have any information on support groups for the
following needs, please contact our office: Alport Syndrome,
Cerebral Palsy, Codependency, Depression, Hepatitis, Near-
Death Experiences, Post Abortion or Schizophrenia. Thanks!
Volunteer. The Athens Child Abuse Council seeks volun
teers to be part of the child abuse prevention program First
Steps. Volunteers provide support, information and refer
rals to parents of newborns. Training sessions begin Thurs

ogy graduate student Greg Keyes will dis
cuss “Early Farmers: An Introduction to
Southeastern Indian Agriculture"

ture, lifestyles and mythology, Keyes will

Rose care. The State Botanical Garden
of Georgia will present a rose care work
shop Wednesday, May 15, from 9 a.m.-
noon. Jeannette Coplin, Horticulturalisl,

overview of rose care and examine the

A hands-on session, including pruning,
pest and disease control, fertilizing and
more, will follow. Bring pruning shears
