longer have an “ongoing" section.
• We don't list anything here that's tor-
profit, but this doesn't meari we only
publish free events. We'll include it if
the money charged goes sotefy to
ward the cost of staging the event.
• Sometimes businesses offer free
classes and workshops. We'll publi
cize these, unless the free event is in
fact a sales promotion.
• Items must be in our office by
Thursday at noon for the next
Wednesday's paper.
• Clubs and groups: We'll publicize
your meetings events, as long as the
public's invited and there's some spe
cial discussion, guest speaker, etc.

Project Sate. Project Safe Inc. will con
duct orientation and training for new
volunteers April 24 and 25. Volunteers
may provide peer counseling on a 24-
hour hotline to women suffering from
domestic abuse or work with women

Hair care. The AIDS Coalition of
Northeast Georgia will have a
fundraiser Monday, May 6, from 9
a.m.-3 p.m. in UGA's Tale Center
Plaza. "Care Styles' will feature styl
ists from local salons who will cut hair
for $10 and donate the proceeds to
ACNG. Massage therapists will give
massages for the same price. Call

Sports
Triathlon. UGA Triathlon '96 will be
held Saturday, April 27. The race will
begin and end at the Recreational
Sports Complex (corner of East Cam
pus and College Station roads) and
consists of swimming (.7 miles), cy
cling (20 miles) and running (6.2
miles) through the campus, downtown
Athens and the surrounding residen

G-Day. UGA's G-Day Spring Football
Game will be Saturday. April 27, at
2:30 p.m. in the Clarke Central High
School Stadium.
Dog ft pony show. Chateau Elan
presents the second annual Dog &
Pony Show Saturday, April 27, from
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Bring your pels (on
leashes) for canine and equestrian
games and activities. Admission is
free. A $5 parking fee will be donated
to Canine Assistants, a local organi
zation that rescues and trains animals
to help physically challenged children

Baseball. The UGA Diamond Dawgs
will play Georgia Tech April 30 (7
p.m.), Kentucky May 3 (7 p.m.), 4 (2

Honor guard. Atlanta native Mark
Mobley wilt perform his autobio
graphical monologue 'Honor Guard'
at the Morton Theatre Thursday, April
25. at 8 p.m. The monologue is a 90-
minute look at a Southern boy's jour
ney to manhood. Admission is $5 at
the door; proceeds go to Project Safe
and the AIDS Coalition of Northeast
Georgia. Mobley is studying at the
University of Georgia as a fellow in the
Pew Charitable Trusts' National Arts

Ibsen. UGA's University Theatre will
stage Henrik Ibsen's 'Hedda Gabler’
