Acclaimed Goldman scholar l)r Candace Falk presents the
l <iA Women s History Month Keynote Lecture entitled
"Passion, Politics, and Free Expression: The Written Legacy
of Fjnma Goldman" celebrating the achievements of this
founding mother of feminism. A Guggenheim fellow. Falk is
the editor and director of the Emma Goldman Papers
Project Her biography of the activist, hive. Anarchy, and
Emma Goldman, made the 1990 New York Times Best

March is national Women’s History Month and the folks
with the Athens Folk Music and Dance Society have chosen a
lineup of female musicians to perform at this month’s Hoot.
The Solstice Sisters start the evening with their unique
brand of a cappclla traditional songs from around the world,
followed by a solo performance from Pam Blanchard
Blanchard is l>est known for her kid-oriented tunes as the
frontwoman for the Sunny Side Up Band, but this evening’s
performance will feature more adult songs. Jean Spenser will
play her country/folk inspired music, while special guest
headliners Lee’s Fault, a Nashville acoustic duo. will mix
intricate vocal harmonies with acoustic guitar, mandolin and
