Celebrate tne opening night of "In Your Face: A
Decade of Flagpole Covers," which features more
than 20 covers spanning over ten years by local
artists such as Chris Bilheimer, Dennis Harper and
Patrick Dean. Also, take a docent-led tour of
"Masterworks from the San Carlos National Museum of
Art" and the Flagpole exhibit. Drawings will be held
throughout the evening for a variety of fun prizes. An

ATHENS ACADEMY Portrait paintings and drawings by
Lamar Wood. Also, a metal sculpture from found

ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY LIBRARY Watercolors and
oil paintings of flowers and other scenes from nature
by Flo Grosscn on display on the second floor. In the
Young Adult section, collaboration between the
Library and ACC teachers entitled the "Millennium
Project," featuring artwork by area students of all
ages inspired by the question, "What will life be like
in the new millennium?" In the Heritage Room cases,
Phil Seigler's collection of vintage Valentine's Day
memorabilia—antique and old-fashioned cherubs,
cards, lace, statuettes and vases. Through February.
AURUM STUDIOS Bright, colorful 3-D birds, butter-
lies and other creations by Peter Loose. Also, pho
tographs of North American scenery by McGinnis
Leathers. Through February.
BLUEBIRD CAFE Abstract acrylic and mixed-media
