The latest disc is titled So My Kids Don't Have To 0% VITAMIN A (Caledonia) Young rock quartet influenced by various grunge, punk and alternative acts. Lead guitarist ‘Sven* reportedly delivers ‘unimaginable explosive sounds." RUSTY WATER (Caledonia) This Gainesvilta/Athens-based rock quartet that grew out a long-time collaboration between Chris Hulsey and Jarred Forrester. SOLAR (Tasty World) A newly-formed pop-rock quartet formed by guitarist- vocalist Chad Garrett and members of the jazzy Atlanta band Grout. The band’s recent demos are delicate, emotive and textured. Thursday, July 6 THE APOSTLES (Tasty World' This solid, authenticated reggae/roots septet from relocated to Athens from Boone. NC, recently and has become some thing of a staple in the local groove music scene. Fronted by exuberant Rasta man Peanut. BRYAN STONE & BLAKE BRYANT (Allen's) Acoushc rock, folk ar.d country standards and originals. BREATHLANES (Flicker) The salient Athens ensemble—featuring guitarist John Miley, vocalist Elissa Hadley, drummer Jaime DeRevere and bassist Dave Domizi. 8:30 p.m. DJ ISAAC (Boneshakers) Dance night starting at midnight after the cabaret act. DJ QUASAR (AMF) The latest house, progressive and trance sounds. KARSTEN DURANT (Tasty World) Atlanta-based singer-songwriter spe cializing in contemporary soul, R&B and groove-laden pop. BAYON FORTE (Caledonia) Athens singer-guitarist Forte previously played in such classic local bands as Old Scratch. Hard Ensemble and The Sunspots. KING LEAR JET (40 Watt) This Atlanta quartet delivers a moody blend of slow- core, trance-pop. and Americana. Inspired by the likes of Luna, Wilco, Wire and Duraluxe. The new album.
