squad It's never dear why Torrance is
so gung-ho about her hobby; she's
smart, witty, optimistic and kind—basi

mates. Her learnt main competition
comes from a mostly black squad from
East Compton led by the cool-headed
Isis (Gabrielte Union). It turns out that
Torranceo team has actually been using
its rivals stolen routines all along. As
the story follows her through the anxi
eties and hardships of the season, she
slides between being a typical ‘dumb
blonde’ and a truly compassionate, sell-
aware charader willing to ‘do the ngh’
thing. The film lumbers ahead through a
pile of predidable plot devices all the
way up to the big dimax al the cheer
