VOTE COOPER Hey, you folks in District 6 (voting at Whitehead Road Elementary, Georgia Square Mall and Cleveland Road Elementary), don't
forget to go back to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Anne Cooper has been a strong, budget-minded leader on the Board of Education. She
worked long and hard as a parent through the PTA and other school organizations before and after running for the school board. She made
the decision to fire Supt. Lucian Harris, who was the wrong man in the wrong job. She gave the school system a tremendous boost with that
action, but Dr. Harris' supporters are out to get Anne now. She's the kind of smart, tough, dedicated school board member we need. Please
go back to the polls and help re-elect Anne Cooper.
HIGHWAY TO HELL Got any ideas on how to fix Atlanta Highway? The transportation folks want to hear from you, November 27 at Timothy
Road Elementary School at 7 p.m. If we're lucky, maybe someone will suggest a new interchange that only exits to the left. (Brad Aaron)
ONE - ONE If reading about the Electoral College (p. 8] gets you fired up enough, you might want to head to College Square on November
25 and December 2 for the third and fourth “One Citizen-One Vote” rallies. The time is 1 p.m.; the rain location is—where else—the One
Love Club. For more info, call Michael Collins at 613-7443. (Brad Aaron)
EAT MO' TURKEY The Flagpole office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 (and Saturday and Sunday) so that we car. all go
enjoy our Tofurkey with our families or sit alone in some back street bar, nursing a cranberry juice cocktail and listening to some old blues
singer; whatever. We'll be back for business as usual on Monday, Nov. 27, when the regular Classified deadline of 11 a.m. will apply.
