DYNAMITE CLUB (40 Watt) The
Dynamite Club is *a talented tripwire
of avant-jazz, where time and space
have imploded leaving only random,
nihilistic outbursts, decayed riffage and

best summed up as a big Japanese/
NYC mess of avant-garde jazz, spastic
punk, reggae and whatever else Plus,
they do it all in their underwear

Tasty World
Rewind to last summer
and one of the weekly Bitter
Tuesday battles. A young
band from South Florida takes
the stage, hoping to win
the crowd over, hoping
win S250. But the odds are
stacked against these guys,
who aren't a hardcore band.
They're not a metal band.
Hell they're not even really
a punk band. But the minute
that Fallen from the Sky take
the stage, it doesn't matter
into what genre the group
fits: the mask is rockin',
energy is insane and everyt

and running him around in front of the stage. Though FFTS didn't take home the cash that
night, it did win over a small contingent of Athens residents and is now coming back for more.
The band's melodic, punk-influenced rock music fits easily alongside indie bands, punk
r bands and hardcore bamK This versatility stems from the approach the bandmembera—

selves to one kind of crowd, and we just genuinely love^^*^a^U^ghoey; people can
see that In out live show, arid through our musk.*
Still in their early 20s, tfie members of FFTS have an uncanny work ethic, one that involves
booking their own tours, selling mast quantities of their Tune Out the World £P during pro-show
afternoons at local mails and chatting with anyone who will listen. This trim DIY ethic.is just
one.of the laundry list of reasons why tire band possesses so much
