Lights, the full-length follow-up to the

JAIL MOVES (Transmetropolitan)
This new band featuring Mercer West
on guitar. Carter Ross on guitar. Becky
Brooks on keyboards, David Specht on
bass and Jelf Tobias on drums makes
its club debut. “We all sing,’ says
Tobias “We play extremely repetitive,
atonal, spa^y noise rock If you were
to describe us as ‘a swarm of cicadas
taking the shape of Frankenstein’s
monster’ it wouldn't bum us out at all."

ANGIE APARO (Tasty World) The
sweet-voiced, shiny-skulled Atlanta
singer-songwriter has been flirting with
the big time for quite a while. He's got
a new backing band now. and a new al
bum out this past April El Primero Del
Tres is the fiist album in a projected
trilogy, the second release is scheduled
for late 2006, tha third release some
time next year, and the whole shebang
apparently presents Aparo's view on
love and war
