TARTUFFE University Theatre presents Ranjit Bolt's
updated adaptation of Molitre's Tartuffe. about a
con man who pretends to be pious in order to bam
boozle a wealthy man, is set in Washington, DC.
Bolt's adaptation of Moli£re's masterwork leaves the
scathing satire and ribald Restoration plot wholly
intact, but renders the original's stately alexan
drines into the crisp, magnificently timed couplets
that have made Mr. Bolt a perennial fixture on West
End marquees in London for the better part of two

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES Eve Ensler's funny, pro
vocative ode to all that is female. The performance
is a series of titled vignettes all about the essence
