and Kimberly Saint Thomas plays,
dark, synth- and bass-heavy rock

from the late-night gropings of U2,
Echo & the Bunnymen and the Cure.
GHOST TRAIN “Improv/ drone/ psych
from the new, weird Macon." says
this four-piece band. “Expect lots of
guitar squall, tribal drumming and
old-time ditties about Quetzalcoatl

delic band out of Atlanta, combining

HARPOONS Jangly Chicago trou
badour Ezra Furman calls to mind
the idiosyncratic styles of Gordon
Gano, Jonathan Richman and even
a bit of ol’ Bob Dylan himself.
Furman's rousing, Boston-based
Harpoons back him up on tour, and
contributed to the band’s impressive
debut album on the Minty Fresh
label.
SUMMER HYMNS Local dudes
Zachary Gresham, Philip Brown-,
Chris Riser and Bryan Nuse play
psychedelic-tinged Neil Young-y
pop-rock that hinges more on
simple chord progressions and vo
cal melodies, and if you're a fan of
the Flaming Lips, you’ll find much
