14th Annual Education Day at Second Arnold
Representative Bob Bryant, Guest Speaker
Representative Bob Bryant
On Sunday, August 24,
2008, Second Arnold Baptist
Church will observe the 14th
Annual Education Day. This
year's theme is “Education for
All.” The scripture is taken
from Matthew 22:16 (Living
Bible).
Education Day started in
Second Arnold August 1994
under the directions of Sis.
Gloria B. Maynor, Sis. Gloria
V. Pace and Sis. Jennifer
Green. The purpose was to
get our youth geared up for
the upcoming school year by
bringing in dynamic speakers
in the Savannah Community.
There were also large dis
plays of educational materi
als and school supplies given
out to each one in attendance.
This year's speaker is
Representative Bob Bryant.
Representative Bob
Bryant is currently serving
the needs of his constituents'
in House District 160, which
includes parts of Chatham
County. Bryant has spent a
great deal of time in the area
having attended Savannah
Technical College and South
College which is also located
in Savannah. Representative
Bryant also attended
Columbia College, from
which he earned a B.A. in
Business Administration.
He is a member of
Fairlawn Baptist Church in
Garden City where Harold
Edwards, Sr. is the Pastor.
His professional life has
included a variety of services
in different areas. He worked
for the City of Savannah as a
Facility Maintenance
Supervisor from 1991 until
his retirement in 2001. Just
prior to that, the City of
Savannah employed him as
the Sanitation
Superintendent for 3 years.

Jesus is The Way
Greetings,
Thank God for Jesus and
The Holy Spirit. We are having
some hot weather; yet it is
bearable. The Lord is good,
and his mercy endures forever.
His grace is sufficient for
everyone; especially those he
called to do his will, to teach,
and lead his people. But in this
day of our Lord: the Lord has
not sent everyone to preach!
We can't judge; but we can be
fruitful inspectors.
Be informed; the Lord
has risen. God sees all, hears
all, and knows all. We are
encouraged to grow in grace,
and the knowledge of the Lord
Jesus Christ, because that great
Judgment Day is coming that
will take place around The
Inez Pinckney
White Throne of God. Books
will be open. Then the book of
Life will be open, and whoso
ever was not found in The
Book of Life, was cast into the
Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:11-15).
Church it is time to teach the
whole Bible. It is hot now, but
don't come short of God’s
promise. There is no exit, air
conditioner, water, nor pleasure
in the Lake of Fire. Matt 24:31-
41, Jesus teaches about separat
ing the sheep and goats at his
return. The Lord Jesus is
Judge! We don't want our
names to be on the List in one
of the other books. Rev. 21:8
reads thus: “But the fearful,
and unbelieving and abom
inable, and sorcerers, and
whoremongers, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake
which bumeth with fire and
brimstone; which is the second
death.” If you want to spend
eternity with Jesus get off that
list. Jesus loves you, and so do
I.
