They have dedicated
themselves to the service of
the Lord by reaching out to
souls in various parts of the
United States. Genesis New
Life was chartered on
February 6, 1982. The church
was bom on Friday night,
August 21, 1987. Since then,
Bishop and Mother Latimer
have established four church
es and other properties at
1901-1915 East Broad,
Street, Savannah, Ga; 313

GA; 315, 317, 319 and 321

up, on 19.1 acres of land at

The Lord has not only
blessed the ministry of

Mother Mary L. Latimer
Bishop and Mother Latimer
but he has also blessed the
saints. Our leaders always
say, "But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto
you, Matthew 6:33." Jesus
told him everybody that stick
with me will be blessed as I
am blessed. Not only are we
blessed spiritually, we are
blessed financially. They
have established a $500
scholarship fund for all the
youth that graduate from
high school.

Donald Crews is a respected and award-winning author-
illustrator of many celebrated children's picture books,
including the Caldecott Honor Books "Freight Train" and
"Truck”. Blending sparse text with innovative uses of color,
space, and perspective, Crews' picture books depict such
diverse subjects as language arts, counting, and various
modes of modern transportation. His first book, "We Read: A
to Z," was noted as a sophisticated and fresh approach to
illuminating language arts for children,
while "Freight Train" and "Truck" showed
his ability to both inform readers and tell
powerful stories through images of every
day objects and activities. Since "Freight
Train" and "Truck", Crews has established
himself as a distinctive picture book artist
and has expanded into a whole series of
books which imaginatively depict trans
portation, motion, and energy in every
day life. He and his wife, Ann Jonas, live in
New York's Hudson River Valley.
