Mr. Siriri will present an upbeat multimedia program sharing the
latest news of the joint Abayudaya/Kulanu sustainable development

struggling African Jewish communi

how the Abayudaya and Kulanu are
taking a leadership role in bringing
diverse tribal and religious commu
nities together through the schools
and through the “Delicious Peace”
Mirembe Kawomera fair trade or
ganic coffee project, involving more
than 750 farmers of all three faiths
working together (Christian, Jewish
and Muslim).
A construction engineer by profession, Israel Siriri has helped de
sign and has directly supervised the many public works projects the
community has completed with the Kulanu’s help. These include the

running water well in the community; construction of new class
rooms, dormitories, latrines, a guesthouse, a science lab and working
showers for the schools a well as bringing the first electricity to the
main village center at Nabagoye Hill.
Mr. Siriri’s trip is sponsored by Kulanu, an organization that reflects
the community of interests of individuals of varied backgrounds and
religious practices dedicated to fin ding and assisting lost and dis
persed remnants of the Jewish people.

Israel located on Bull Street at Monterey Square in the historic dis
