Tips for
Evangelist Rachel Thomas
As a former Master
school teacher, I know first
hand the anxiety and nerv
ousness students experience
before taking a test.
It is for this reason that I
have compiled these tips in
hopes that they help to
relieve some of that burden
from our students.
Before the test... PRAY!!! .
-Prepare yourself men
tally. If you are overly wor
ried about taking the test,
much of the energy you will
need will be used up by anxi
ety, and you will not perform
Students
as well as you should. You
can reduce anxiety by under
standing as much as you can
about the kind of test you are
taking, the purpose of the
test and the areas the test will
cover.
-Follow normal routines.
Interrupting your normal
routine may affect your per
formance. On the night
before the test, go to bed no
later than your usual time
since fatigue may lead to you
not performing well on the
test. On the day of the test,
you should eat a normal
breakfast and lunch.
Skipping meals or overeating
before a test may also drasti
cally affect your perform
ance.
During the test...PRA Y!H
-Concentrate. Do not
allow yourself to be distract
ed by noises or by move
ments around you. Read the
