CHURCH NEWS AND OTHER FEATURES
In The Prisons
of Our Souls
Shiloh Missionary to hold
Leadership Seminar
Mack Keynote Speaker at
BMBC Graduation Sunday
Evangelist Rachel Thomas
As I ended my daily fellow
ship with God early this
morning around 4:40 a.m.,
the Lord spoke to me from
Acts 16:24 which states....
“Having received such a
charge, thrust them into the
inner prison, and made their
feet fast in the stocks”, and I
waited for the Lord to tell
me what He wanted me to
know from these words.
He spoke about people
in bonds in the prisons of
their souls, but He, being the
Lord God-All powerful and
Almighty shall break the
chains and loose their bonds.
He shall set them free and
they shall be set free indeed
in Jesus.
However, He was talk
ing to me about a certain
group of people that I was
praying for in particular.
But as a kind, loving,
merciful God, it is His will
for all men not to be bound
or perish.
As I continued to listen
to to Him the song Amazing
Grace came into my heart
and I began to sing and
remember how he saved me
and set me free from the
prison of my soul.
I was so very thankful
and grateful to Him for his
mighty power and grace. It is
by His grace, and the work
ing of His Holy Spirit’s
power that we can be saved
by His son Jesus Christ.
Jesus paid the the awe
some price for the sins of the
whole world! It then came to
my mind of the young souls
that are in prison where God
sends me to minister to every
week, and how they are
bound.
Even if they are bound
physically in the body, they
can be freed in their souls,
and gladly accept the free
dom that only Jesus can give.
They then become free
indeed!!! Hallelujah to His
Holy Name! Are you in the
prison of your soul?
I get unspeakable joy
when I see the workings of
God’s mighty hands in those
kids, and I give glory to God
for His mighty acts upon the
children of men.
I see the healing power
taking effect, I see how
eagerly they cry out His
name to save them and how
the tears flow. I see how
some of them are set free of
demon spirits, and so many
wonderful moves of God’s
spirit for them. When my
partner Barbara Brown and I
get there, we always ask for
the worst units. The officers
always say “we are so glad
you are here! We need you all
over there!” Barbara and I
