its 45th Annual Convention
at Savannah Deliverance
Center from July 31- August
9, 2009.
The church is located
at 2115 Barnard Street.
The theme for this con
vention is, "Preparing for
Super Growth".
There will be two ses
sions daily. The Bible
School will be held at 10:00
a.m. and the evening service
will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Lunch will be served after
the Bible School.

Session of the Berean
Congress of Christian
Education will convene
August 2, 5 & 7, 2009

The welcome program
and musical will take place

beginning at 6:00pm at Rev.
George P. Lee, III is the pas
tor.
This year's theme is
“Heavenly Vision: The
Mission of the Church”. The
scriptural reading is taken
from Ephesians 5:16-21;
Acts 1:1-4,8,9. The Dean's
Address is Wednesday,
August 5 beginning at
1:00pm and the President's
Address is Thursday, August
6 beginning at 1:30pm. The
Youth Rally will take place
on Friday, August 7 begin
ning 10:30am, which is also
Red Ribbon Day.
On August 5 - 7 at Shuman
Middle School (415 Goebel
Avenue) all classes will
begin at 8:30am - 11am.
Electives and discus
sions will begin at 11:00am.
The music classes will
perform at the host church,
St. John Baptist Church.
Children, youth and
young adult core classes
(ages 5-12; 13-15; 16-17;
and 17 and above) will begin
at 8:30am - 11:00am;

A celebration is in order

body of the Jurisdiction of
Southeast Georgia.
In November 2008,
during the 101st Holy
Convocation of the Church
of God in Christ, Bishop
Benjamin Payne Collins was
re-elected by his peers to
serve a second term as
Second Vice Chairman of the
Board of Bishops world
wide. In addition to cele
brating the recent election
results, the Jurisdiction is
preparing for a grand event
scheduled for July 31, 2009
at the Marriott Riverfront
Hotel in beautiful downtown
Savannah.
The celebration of
LIFE recognizes and cele
brates Bishop Collins' 60th
birthday. There is also a cel
ebration of LOVE. Bishop
and Lady Virginia D. Collins
will celebrate 40 years of
love, marriage and commit
ment. The couple will renew
their wedding vows on this
date.
Finally, the Jurisdiction
plans to honor Bishop
Collins for his LEADER
SHIP- 39 years of ministeri
al devotion and 34 years of
pastoral ministry.
